Saying Thanks for National Volunteer Week, 2020

A Special Message from Karmela, our Volunteer Coordinator, for National Volunteer Week 2020

Volunteers are at the heart of our Centre, our Community, and our Nation!

Although we may be physically apart, we remain united in our care, concern and support for community seniors. Stay safe, keep well and thank-you!

As Mother Teresa said, “Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.”

Volunteers make this world a better place and we are so truly privileged and blessed to have them playing such an integral part at the Active Adult Centre of Mississauga.

This week, across our Nation, organizations and communities will raise their voices to acknowledge and pay tribute to the dedicated women and men who continue to plant seeds of hope within our lives.

Together, you, our Volunteers, continue to share in an unspoken code deeply rooted in your mission, determination, enthusiasm, drive, and willingness to make this world a better place to live in.

Thank you for being our heroes, Ambassadors, leaders, advocates, teachers, administrators, care-providers, motivators, friends, and supporters.

Your generous contribution throughout the years has not gone unnoticed, nor your dedication and compassion exhibited to folks who entered our doors at the AACM. We, in turn, applaud you all for transitioning your devotion to other means beyond our Centre.

During this difficult and uncertain time, we thank-you for your continued commitment of Volunteerism, keeping our communities connected,  making our Nation proud, your unique way of identifying people’s needs, and for your shared belief that we are still somehow connected.

Thank you for continuing to be at the heart of our Centre, our community, and our Nation!
